Born to be a LEGEND

The way I look at Life:

Life's not just about the gain,
It's about the suffering and the pain,

Life's not just about spending 24 hours everyday,
It's about being better than what you were yesterday.

Life's not just about winning every game,
It's about playing and learning from the same.

Life's not about getting a degree,
That's just the beginning, this you must agree.

Life's not just about getting a job,
It's about improving life of the mob.

Life's not about crying when you fall,
It's about crawling, walking, running,'cz u can't afford to stall.

Life's not about failures and saying," I QUIT ",
It's about the trials before saying," I DID IT ".

Life's not about staring at the stars in the sky,
It's about being a star on earth, among the people or nearby.

Life's not just about trying to get the seat or the crown,
It's about being that person without whom the kingdom would fall down.

Life's not just about finding what you are born to do,
It's about being that person the world would look forward to.

Life's not just about being the hero,
It's about being the LEGEND that lives, even after the hero.

Success

Battles of life are endless,
get geared up for your test.
Don’t settle for anything less,
Expect the best.
You are not like the rest,
You deserve the best,
Fight with zest,
Then, take some rest.
Again, fight with zest.
Finally,you will stand at crest,
and experience the feeling,
you will not be able express,

‘coz,that is, SUCCESS.

What I understand by Journey called LIFE?

  • Life is a matrix,created by GOD.
  • Life is a competition,to be won without the use of performance enhancing drugs.
  • Life is a roller coaster, at the beginning it’s slow and ascending, but, once it reaches the top, then, there is no straight, simple path, there are ups and downs and loops, if you lose hope, you are finished, but, if you have the courage to face each and every challenge with your eyes open, at the end, you feel you are on top of the world.
  • Life and time both are hard to define, but, just a second, is sufficient to experience their existence.
  • Life is an unsolved mystery, and the grave is not its goal.It depends on the soul, sorrow and happiness play a major role, but,I still think it’s not enough what I told.

Now, that, we are going to start a new life and enter the real world, just believe me no one can define life completely in words, so,nothing can be said for sure about life. But, just one thing is sure about life, that, you are the architect of your own life and no one can influence your destiny, neither your senior nor your boss, everything is in your hands. So, make the best of it.

The Journey Begins...

I want to get into IIT!
My goal is to be an IITian!

I had uttered these words to myself for two years. It all started from the day I finished the S.S.C. examination. IIT was the only thing on my mind. The tempo was, so, high that I knew months before, the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination, that,I would clear it and I did it. But, I had never ever imagined it to be IIT Kharagpur, it was always IIT Bombay, which is 20 minutes drive from my home. But, all hopes shattered, I had to come 1870km away from home, away from my family, away from my friends, to a place never seen, never even bothered to know the state to which it belonged.
I decided and I was here with my dad. I saw the hostel better, than, expectation.I saw the main building,”Wow! It’s awesome”, was the first thing, that, came to my mind. After, the registration process got over, I headed towards Vikramshila. My dad was about to leave,he was already getting late for his train.I hugged him and headed back to Vikramshila.......It was, that, very moment I realised how crazy I was! How on earth could I have decided to stay in this massive place, away from my family, my dearest friends who have always been by my side for a period of 5 years, when I don’t even remember, if I would have left them for even 5 days...I really wanted to cry,I regretted my decision, but,I pushed my tears back and ran back to him and hugged him again and said, “If not for myself, I’ll win the battles and the war for you.”
IIT Kharagpur became my new home.I cannot call it heaven, because, heaven has angels and my mother is not here. After two years of hardwork and sacrifices, I come up here for 5 years for what?? More sacrifices!! Yes..this is life. This was my first bitter experience at IITKGP.

When I woke up........

After a long tiring day,I drove back home it was
midnight.I just ran up the stairs and without even bothering to
change,or even remove my shoes,I just jumped on the bed and in almost a
minute I fell asleep. And then,it was morning I woke up.....but,it felt as if it wasn't even a minute that I had felt asleep.I felt very tired.I opened the door to the kitchen, but, somehow it led me to a barren ground with almost nothing in view, there was a lot of fog in air that prevented me from viewing more than few metres away.My wristwatch showed 2:00am,but,
it looked like 7:00am,I knew something had changed, but, where was i??I walked a few steps to get closer to something, that, looked like a car.It was!!.I touched the bonnet and suddenly all of the fog vanished to reveal that I was in the midst of a ground with 1000s of cars on all 4 sides of me,the way I came here was no more visible ,the world had changed again. The car I was standing next to was a Ferrari F50.I tried opening the door,it was locked! Next to the Red Ferrari,It was Lamborghini Gallardo..I thanked God.But,that too was locked.I thought there must be at least few cars in this huge lot who would be left open.I tried to to find one of those, but,I couldn't find a single one.......finally,I found one car,its door opened......I found the keys inside.....it had a very familiar look.I stepped out of the car,I read the number MH04 786
,I shouted,"this is my car".Suddenly everything disappeared.....as if they I said some magic word....but,the ground disappeared, too.I thought as if I was sky-diving but I realised,I didn't have parachute for, that,I shouted.ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH,but, the speed kept on increasing..I felt the only way to get away,if only I could .............open my eyes.I woke up,I thought what was the purpose of all this?I walked down the stairs to my car,the door opened without any hesitation.I found my keys were in the car itself!!!!!I forgot my keys in the car.......so,this whole drama was for the forgotten key.The key to this key drama is,that, your sub-conscious mind knows it all,you might forget something but it wont,it'll find ways to tell it to you........You might think you have forgotten but you haven't so think twice!Have faith on your brain it knows more than what you think it knows!!

Why do we dream.......

We dream because dream is a visual way of communication opted by the sub-conscious mind with us,wat we do,think all tht is done by conscious mind, but, subconscious mind is like the Know-it-all thing. It knows everything around you,ur past, future,it at times warns you(Eg:shows snakes in dreams:it means cunning ppl around u),advices you, makes you realize your mistakes(Eg: u c the door of ur house open in ur dream and wen u check the door is really open),some intuitions in general. But,If all is well u may have a dreamless night.Or e1 a dream where u r celebrating or speeding up in a car which shows tht u r succeeding in life, etc.U dont remember your dreams coz wen u r sleeping actually ur conscious mind takes rest,if u c sumthing big,imp in dreram u remember it but usually the dream doesnt consume much of you thus it does not disturb the conscious mind and ur buffer memory sees the dream which is cleared once the conscious mind takes over.Hence, you forget it,but,if you got too tensed up or too excited the dream are put in main memory and u remember those.....:)

Where Machines Dare........

Life in IIT was great, but then I found a purpose, something of interest in life, people call it ROBOTICS.....Its imparting life to machines. Though, I had done basic robotics tutorials in IIT, the interest rose exponentially, when I made one. I got a way to explore my creative side, when in IIT I entered KRAIG (Kharagpur Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Group), I found it really interesting, I awaited its classes a lot, finally when once in KRAIG Winter workshop I felt, while I was coding for my bot at morning 4am, that, if things workout and I get good results, then, I would be really happy to do this in my life as a passion and as a career. It was, then that I took robotics seriously and wanted a really good challenging task and there came the Grid Navigator (see http://www.robotixiitkgp.org/events.php?page=gn). I found it challenging enough to give it a try, though, I thought on correct lines and worked on it, I realised, that though theoretically my base was strong, but, I lacked practical information. KRAIG had done its job, but, I failed myself!!! I had worked hard really hard for it, I presented the bot really well before the judge, but it was not yet good enough for the competition....Finally, I realized may be I underestimated the Grid Navigator or was expecting very high of myself, but I told myself  "If hard work and skill, work together, I will surely get a masterpiece,". I had just Hard work..was not yet skillful enough, I decided to quit it after giving all that I had (literally). I told my mom, that, "I have never done anything in my life, with this much dedication, nothing not even IIT-JEE could make me work as hard as this bot, not my board exams could make me work as hard as this bot, then, why did I fail in this when I had cleared the other? If I did meditation with that much dedication I would have got enlightenment by now, but, why did this bot fail me," my mom told me, "May be God has a bigger plan for you and believe me your time will come! He sees it all he'll reward your hard work".........A tear trickled down my cheek as I sat in my balcony shattered, but, God had a plan!! Feeling lost I just lied on my bed and there in the V-4 auditorium of IIT I was awarded the BEST ALGORITHM prize for Grid Navigator. Unaware of my victory, I slept in peace. I realized of this a day later. I thought of a dialogue from the movie Baazigar: "Jo har ke bhi jeet ta hai, woh hi baazigar keh lata hai." I thanked God for giving me KRAIG, ROBOTIX, and Grid Navigator. My work was rewarded. This Grid Navigator taught me 1000 lessons as my friends say, "Jeet mein koi sabak nahi, haar mein hazar sabak hote hai". This failure taught has me a lot.
